Glossary

The terms that appear across Klixey, defined once. Stick to these names — they match what you see in the app.

A

Access token — A signed token that grants a customer access to a specific product without a password. Used for magic-link logins and one-time download URLs.

Appointment — A bookable time slot a creator sells. Customers pick a date and time; the creator gets a calendar entry.

B

Brand profile — Your store's visual identity: colors, fonts, typography roles, button treatment, surface roles. One per store.

Block — A unit of content in the page builder (text, image, button, product card, etc.). Blocks live inside columns, which live inside sections.

C

Checkout attempt — A record of every checkout session a customer starts, whether or not it completes. Used for tracking, debugging, and recovery.

Community — A space with channels, posts, comments, members, and a leaderboard. Free or paid.

Course — A product made of modules, each with lessons. Lessons can include video, text, and resources.

Custom domain — Your own domain (like shop.mybrand.com) used in place of klixey.com/your-slug. Plan-gated.

Customer portal — Where customers log in to find their purchases, watch courses, join communities, and manage billing. Lives at klixey.com/your-slug/portal or your-domain.com/portal.

L

Lead magnet — A free digital download offered in exchange for an email. Always $0.

M

Magic link — An email containing a one-tap login link. Customers can use this instead of a password to access the portal.

Membership — A product that bundles other products (courses, communities, downloads) under one subscription.

P

Page document — The stored representation of a storefront page, including its sections, columns, and blocks. Versioned, autosaved, and conflict-aware.

R

Repeater — A page-builder primitive that repeats a block layout across a list of items (e.g. a product grid, a testimonials carousel).

S

Section — The outermost layout unit in the page builder. Holds columns, which hold blocks.

Slug — The URL-safe identifier for a store (klixey.com/your-slug) or product (/your-slug/product-slug). Renaming a slug creates a redirect from the old one.

Store — Your storefront, lives inside a workspace. One store per workspace.

W

Workspace — The container for your Klixey business. Holds your store, products, customers, team members, and billing. You can run multiple workspaces from one Klixey account (plan-gated).
