Workspace Settings
Workspace Settings hold everything about a single business: the name, the brand, the plan you pay for, the team you've invited, the custom domain you've connected, and the integrations you've turned on.
Quick answer
Open the top-right avatar → Workspace settings. You'll find tabs for Workspace details, Brand, Plan & billing, Team, Custom domain, and Integrations. Most settings are open to Owner and Admin; the Plan & billing tab is Owner-only.
Workspace vs Personal
If you came here looking for your name, email, password, or theme, those live in Personal Settings — they belong to you, not to a workspace. See Personal vs Workspace Settings.
How to find it
Top-right of the app → click your avatar → Workspace settings. The tabs across the top jump between sections.
What lives here
Workspace details
- Workspace name — what shows in the workspace switcher and on billing communications. Open to Owner and Admin to edit.
- Business info — your business name and any details you want on file.
The workspace name is what you call this business — it's separate from your store name, which is what customers see.
Brand
Your brand profile drives the look and feel of your storefront:
- Brand colors (primary, accent, surface)
- Fonts for headings and body text
- Card treatment and text color
- Social links
Editing brand changes how every page of your store looks. See the Brand profile guide for the full walkthrough.
Plan & billing
Owner-only
Only the workspace Owner can see and change Plan & billing. Admins, Editors, and Viewers won't see this tab.
- The plan you're currently on, with usage bars for contacts, storage, products, workspaces, and team.
- A button to Manage — change plan, view invoices, update your card.
- Lifetime purchase history (for transparency).
See Managing your Klixey plan for the deep dive.
Team
Invite collaborators, change their roles, remove members, and view pending invitations.
| Action | Who can do it |
|---|---|
| Invite an Editor or Viewer | Owner, Admin |
| Invite an Admin | Owner only |
| Change another member's role | Owner, Admin (Editor/Viewer only) |
| Remove an Editor or Viewer | Owner, Admin |
| Remove another Admin | Owner only |
| Leave the workspace | Anyone except the Owner |
See Inviting team members and Roles explained.
Custom domain
Connect your own domain (like shop.yourbrand.com) to your store instead of using klixey.com/your-slug. Available on the right plan — see Plans.
The page walks you through:
- Entering your domain.
- Adding the DNS records at your registrar (CNAME or A-record — see DNS recipes).
- Waiting for verification (Klixey polls automatically).
If your plan lapses while you have a custom domain set up, the custom-domain page is locked until the Owner reactivates the plan. Admins can't unlock it themselves.
Integrations
Connections to outside services your workspace uses. Today this includes Google Calendar (used by Appointments to read your availability and add bookings to your calendar). More integrations land here over time.
Open to Owner and Admin.
A note on your workspace slug
Your workspace slug is fixed once the workspace is created — it's an internal identifier and never appears in URLs your customers see.
Your store slug (the URL part of klixey.com/your-slug) is editable from Store Settings, not here. See Renaming slugs without breaking links.
When a plan lapses
If the workspace Owner's plan ends — they cancelled, the card failed and retries ran out, or a refund was issued — the workspace goes into a suspended state for everyone except the Owner.
What it looks like:
- The Owner is redirected to billing with "Your plan has ended. Choose a plan to continue."
- Admins, Editors, and Viewers see a "This workspace is currently inactive" screen. They can't edit anything until the Owner reactivates.
While suspended, non-owners can switch to another workspace if they have one, or leave this one entirely. There's no way to unblock the workspace without the Owner reactivating a plan.
