Editing your storefront and product pages

The Store editor is where you control the parts of your storefront that customers see first: store identity, brand settings, product cards, product details, checkout copy, and confirmation copy. It runs beside a live preview so you can see how your changes read before you open the public store.

Quick answer

Open Store in the sidebar. The homepage preview appears on the left and the editor panel opens on the right. Use Store Settings for store identity, brand, social links, sharing, and domain settings. Click a product card to edit that product's card layout, details, pricing, thumbnail, and sharing settings. To edit checkout or confirmation copy, open the product and use its Checkout or Confirmation tab.

The editor surface

Most storefront editing screens have the same two halves:

  • Left - Live preview. Shows a mobile-sized preview with your brand settings applied.
  • Right - Editor panel. Shows the fields for the selected store or product area.

There's no separate "Save" step. Edit, watch the preview update, and the status indicator next to each field tells you when your change has been saved.

What you can edit today

The Store editor focuses on the parts creators edit most often:

AreaWhat you can edit
Storefront homepageStore name, slug, description, avatar, support email, brand settings, social links, social sharing, custom domain, product order, and which product cards appear.
Product cardsProduct status, card layout, product title, slug, description, link URL, pricing, thumbnail, callout button text, and social sharing.
Checkout pagesCheckout title and checkout description for each product. Commerce pieces like payment forms, plan selectors, schedulers, and event slots are managed by Klixey.
Confirmation pagesConfirmation title and confirmation description for each product. Fulfillment and access actions are managed by Klixey.

You reach the homepage editor from Store in the sidebar. Product-level settings live inside each product editor.

Product cards

Your homepage product list is editable from the preview:

  • Click a product card to open that product's editor.
  • Drag product cards to reorder them.
  • Use Add product in the preview to create another product.

You cannot add arbitrary homepage sections or drag arbitrary content blocks in the public editor yet. Klixey keeps the commerce layout and core page structure managed so checkout, access, and fulfillment keep working.

Checkout and confirmation copy

Each product has editable copy for the pages customers see while buying and right after purchase:

  • Checkout Title
  • Checkout Description
  • Confirmation Title
  • Confirmation Description

Open the product, switch to its Checkout or Confirmation tab, and edit the fields in the panel. Some product previews can jump you to a field when you click preview text, but the reliable path is the field in the editor panel.

Autosave

Editable fields save themselves. The status indicator next to a field shows you what's happening:

StatusWhat it means
Saving…Your latest change is on its way.
SavedEverything's up to date.
Couldn't saveThe change didn't land. Klixey will retry, or you can fix the error and try again.

For the full story see Autosave.

Two tabs open at once

Klixey is designed to catch up to the latest saved version when the same store or product is open in more than one tab. To avoid surprises, do not intentionally edit the same field in two tabs at once; wait for Saved before switching tabs or closing the page.

Tips for working faster

  • Start from a theme preset. Pick a starter visual style from the theme carousel in the store editor before you write a single line of copy.
  • Edit your brand settings first. Colors, cards, text, and fonts flow through the storefront and product pages. See Brand profile.
  • Use product card layouts intentionally. Square and rounded cards are compact; callout cards emphasize action; preview cards give thumbnails more space.
  • Keep checkout copy short. The customer is already on the buy page. Use confirmation copy for next steps.
